The Iridium Edge® Solar is a solar and battery-powered transmitter designed for tracking fishing vessels using the Iridium satellite network as part of Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) programs. The terminal consists of a satellite transceiver (Iridium constellation) and GPS receiver.
The combination of Iridium and GPS provides truly global coverage and allows real time operations anywhere in the world. The satellite transceiver and the GPS receiver are integrated into a hermetically sealed body capable of withstanding harsh marine environments. Services range from the basic delivery of data collected and processed by the CLS data center, to data integration with clients’ fisheries monitoring centers.
Also, clients may access the CLS web platform for data visualization, alerts management and customized analytics.
